Shoutcast or Icecast, and we retransmit the signal live through
our streaming network to your users on the Internet.

are the steps to create a Web Radio?
1. Acquisition of the radio signal
via PC.
2. Real-time encoding with a software/plugin such as Icecast
or Shoutcast.
3. Transmission of the signal in real-time to our streaming
network.
4. Distribution of the signal from our network to your listeners.
What
do I need to transmit the signal to your streaming network?
1. A PC with an audio input (Win, Mac, Linux)
2. A broadcasting software
3. An internet connection with bandwidth that is wider than
the bit rate you intend to transmit to your listeners. In
general an ADSL connection is recommended.
4. The configuration details will be sent you when you purchase
your web radio package from us.
What
software can my listeners use to connect to the Web Radio?
One
of the advantages of the Shoutcast/Icecast standard is that
users can listen with any MP3 compatible player such as (iTunes,
Winamp, Real player, WM Player etc...) In general the web

The
most popular freeware softwares used for web radio are Winamp
(Win), with the plugin Shoutcast DSP, and Nicecast (OSX) but
you can also use any other software that can transmits in
Shoutcast/Icecast format.

that they cannot connect until other users disconnect.
